I utilize multiple software programs to transform data from unusable, unformatted data into a format that can be ingested into a larger data system and used by analysts. I’m running on Windows and Unix systems, and utilizing JavaScript and other programs.

Software DeveloperBegan with NG on the MIDB task. Duties included software installation and maintenance as well as designing and running ad-hoc queries and database maintenance. Started working on OME IR&D in February 2010. My focus has been working with Kapow and writing robots as well as integrating COTS products into larger systems for Open Source Multi-Media exploitation.

Senior Application and Web Developer assigned to United States Department of Defense – Arlington, VAMaintain and develop a tool for IT Procurement. The application consolidates data from multiple sources and scrubs it to present it in a consistent format. The tool is used to manage the entire procurement process from quote, to purchase, to delivery into and out of a warehouse to installation at the customer. It tracks computers, people, licenses, software, stock levels, vendors, as well as many other pieces of data. The application is an invaluable tool for IMCEN RAD to do their jobs. It has received many acclaims.

Senior Application and Web Developer / Technical Manager assigned to United States Department of State – Washington, DCCreated three Department of State Departmental Web sites. Two are written in ASP using Visual InterDev with Access or SQL Server back-ends. The third was a Beta-site using ColdFusion. All three incorporated VBScript and JavaScript. Along with the complete web sites, I design and develop web applications that were either incorporated within the existing sites or stand-alone. This development effort also included multiple user surveys that were published on the Intranet. In recognition of my work, the client provided me with multiple Government Awards for my contribution and efforts. In addition, I provided leadership by overseeing the work of mid level developers, and assisted them in technical issues.Under a separate contract, I created a new design for the Office of Foreign Missions internal web site and started the process of redesigning their Internet site through the use of their development tool Waterfall.

Contract lead developer for multiple web sites. Meridian is a software company that produces and customizes knowledge management software. My responsibilities included customizing the base product to meet the client’s requirements. This ranged from simple interface modifications to large functionality changes and enhancements. Skills used were Visual Source Safe, VB Script, SQL Server, ASP, JavaScript, Oracle, as well as organization and prioritizing skills. Customers that I was involved with include Land O’ Lakes, Panera Bread, Zaxby’s Chicken and the Senate Sergeant at Arms.

Working with legacy Excel systems I created a data call application for EUR in the Department of State. The client had Excel spreadsheet that was being sent to Posts to collect data. The system was very cumbersome and labor intensive. I created an application to organize the data once it comes in. The application uses MS Access as the database and Cold Fusion as the front end. The customer needed a way to generate reports in html, so I create them in ColdFusion and saved them as html.

Senior Application and Web Developer / Technical Manager assigned to United States Department of State – Washington, DCUsing Application Development Life Cycle methods and working with the Client, I developed and maintained an internal collaboration work flow application in Microsoft Access. This application provided the client with the ability to effectively track the flow and volume of work, identify dependencies and interrelationships between functional sections. The implementation and development of the application save the customer resources, eliminated redundancies, provided critical business reports and is demonstrated as an effective workflow tool to other customers at the Department of State. The system tracks the status of 1,700 forms and 17 Volume of Policies encompassing 18,000 pages of data. The application is currently being migrated from Microsoft Access to a SQL Server backend with an ASP front end.
